Beyond the Obvious _ recognizing your style
The objective of this exercise is two fold: (1) recognizing and reflecting on who or what type of artist/photographer you are now allows for you to more easily make changes and grow within your process, (2) I want to pull you out of your comfort zone - essentially make you think outside of the "box" you have unknowingly constructed for yourself as an artist/photographer.
Before you shoot for this shooting exercise....I want you to define for yourself what you already do and do the opposite.
Ask yourself...
Ask yourself...
- What subject matter do you shoot most frequently?
- What point of view do you generally shoot from - high, low, ground or eye?
- What other compositional elements do you add to your images - leading lines, framing, rule of thirds, extreme cropping, full frame?
- What technical elements do you use most frequently when you shoot - a particular depth of field, shutter speed, lighting situation?
