History of Film: Group Presentation Project

|
1. Pre-Planning
Using the class time provided at the conclusion of the film, meet in your assigned groups and decide how you would like to proceed with your chosen topic. Each member will need to complete the Pre-Assessment Form and all members should assign duties/responsibilities for the final presentation. All students are expected to contribute and assist with research and gathering any of the materials/images necessary for the lesson/presentation to the class.
2. Lesson / Presentation
The presentation must consist of a display that includes a minimum of 12 slides that help with lesson understanding, history and vocabulary. One video clip is REQUIRED in your presentation and will counts as one slide. (NOTE: video clips must be added as HOMEWORK because the school internet will not allow for access onto video information sites such as U-Tube, etc). ALL individuals must contribute in a 7-10 minute presentation for the class.
3. Evaluation Handouts
Each individual will be required to complete an assessment of their group and their own participation within that group. This assessment, along with my own observations of individual participation, will be counted into the individual’s group project grade. So “pull your own weight” because your grade might not be the same as your partners if you choose not to assist in the process.

- Any addition visual aids: handouts, games to encourage interaction, or other displays are optional, but they must be pre-set and timed to fit into the time allowed for your lesson. If your group can find an exciting way to creatively engage your audience into the lesson, I will give your group extra credit.
